Trying to beat the heat
Coming from the southwest, hot summers should not be an issue for me. But, humidity sure does make a huge difference . . . it has been HOT and HUMID. So, we're trying our best to beat the heat. This past weekend, Dave was out of town, so the girls and I had some fun with water play. Anna Kate went "fishing."
Samantha mainly hangs out and watches her sister, sometimes laughing at their silliness!
We keep a basket with seasonal hats by the door. Then the girls can be responsible for grabbing what they need outside. This has been Lucy's choice hat lately (when she is not wearing the winter knit hat)! Isn't it cute?
We tried not to get totally in the water, since Mommy was alone. But, as you might guess, it was irresistable! Anna Kate barely fits in this small tub of water, but she always finds a way!
So we went straight up for baths. Samantha pulls up when ever and where ever she wants these days!
Then it was Samantha's turn for a bath.
We walked to the park to play. The park is shady, but even that didn't seem to make a difference! We had a great time anyways!
Samantha was content to hang out in the swing the entire time!
After our walk to play, Anna Kate was ready for Daddy to make "rain" with the hose.
Lucy got ready to get wet, but then changed her mind. She is finally tall enough to peddle on the tricycle. So, she rode the tricycle in her bathing suit and did NOT want to get wet - at all.
