Lucy enjoys some warm fall weather

We enjoyed the warmer fall weather yesterday at lunch! Lucy likes the leaves and grass. We just have to make sure she doesn't eat it!

matching pjs

Anna Kate loves to "match" items - usually items of like color. Here are our girls in their pjs - "They match!" (well, kind of . . . )

Bath time - look at this hair!

Our bathtub in our "new house" is great. It seems deeper than most . . . there is plenty of room for both girls to bathe together. Although, Lucy really prefers to be right next to Anna Kate, regardless. Lucy's bath seat doesn't stick in this bathtub, so she's learning to sit!

"Jesus loves the little children . . ."

Listen to Anna Kate's favorite song to sing these days . . .

Boots

We bought Anna Kate some boots. She was a little hesitant at first, but now she loves them. So, when we unpacked them, she wanted to put them on immediately. She modeled them for me and even stood close to Lucy for an "up-close" picture of her boots. She is also modeling her favorite thing to wear - pjs. We wear them most of the day, even changing out of clothes once we get dressed, and putting pjs back on for more of the day. And some days we wear more than one pair of pjs.

Thacher Park

We decided to take a break from all this settling in and do something fun on Saturday. So, we went to a state park. It was beautiful. And cold. It's amazing how much colder it became during just the short drive. So, we didn't stay as long as we planned. But, we had a nice hike anyways. David carried Anna Kate the whole time. And Lucy carried that information brochure about the park throughout our entire hike; she even yelled at me when I took it away at the car.
"Mommy, can I do this?" That's what I heard coming down the hall. This is what I saw.

After conferring with David and thinking about it, we decided to take a long road approach and just say no, you can't do that.

Where are her teeth?

We were trying to get a picture of Lucy's two new teeth (bottom, front), but this is all we got . . . we'll keep trying!

"playing UTEP"

We had such a great month in El Paso! I am especially grateful for the time Anna Kate got to spend with her cousins. We spent a day together right before we moved. They set up "UTEP" (under older cousin, Madeline's direction) and played for at least an hour!

Ready for the weather in Albany

Here's Anna Kate immediately after receiving a package from Grandma Sheehan, who sent books to help us travel! (They really did help, and we're still enjoying them!) Remember, it is 90+ outside in El Paso. Nevertheless, Anna Kate wanted to wear the corduroy skirt, long-sleeved shirt, and jacket . . . I think she was ready for the weather in Albany.

Lucy and the kitty

Lucy loved the animals at my mom's house! This is the older of the two cats, and so she is also slow! Lucy went for her all the time and pulled out handfuls of hair! Poor kitty . . . she did learn to move away when Lucy was coming.
