We've been in Wildwood NJ since Thursday evening. Anna Kate has patiently waited for her first trip this year to the beach and the ocean - about a ten-minute walk from our summer apartment. This morning, despite the cool weather and overcast skies, we went for a walk to the beach.
Upon arrival to the beach, it took Lucy about one minute (maybe) to become utterly frustrated and disgusted that the sand was in her flip flops. Lucky for her, Will decided this was a perfect time for a mid-morning meal, and we sat together on a beach, so Will could eat. Daddy took Anna Kate and Samantha for a close look at the water. They both loved it; Lucy just kept telling me how much she did not like it! In fact, on the way home, she would not let Anna Kate have a turn riding in the stroller because Lucy did not want to put on her flip-flops - they are covered in sand!

I think Lucy and I are a lot alike! Highly sensory and sensitive. :) Sounds like you are having a wonderful summer!
